How to Scan an Arrowhead

Open the Scanner tab and photograph your arrowhead on a plain, contrasting background. For best results include a scale reference (a coin or ruler) and photograph the point from directly above. The AI will compare your photo against 4,700+ known types.

Understanding Your Results

Results include a primary identification with a confidence score, alternative candidates, trait breakdowns, and a reference specimen photo for comparison.

Map Layers

PointFinder offers 26+ interactive map layers including public land boundaries, Native American territory overlays, creek systems, lithic source locations, and community-reported find hotspots.
