Oxbow is a side-notched dart-point type with a concave base and eared basal margins. The Saskatchewan Archaeological Society’s 2012 guide gives 4,700–3,800 years BP for its regional Oxbow chronology; NPS gives a much broader 7,800–1,500 BP type-use estimate for FOUS 49993. These source units are retained without calendar conversion, and neither range establishes a directly measured date for the photographed specimen.
